Privacy policy
Last updated: 5 November 2026.
Who we are
The GeoMarco Sync app and the GeoMarco plugin for QGIS are provided by Ecobosque, Lda., tax number 517246783, registered at Rua da Cruz de Pedra, 199, Braga, Portugal ("GeoMarco", "we"). Privacy contact: geral@map3dpro.pt.
What the app and the plugin do
The GeoMarco Sync app copies DiMap Pro projects from the controller to the user's own Google Drive. The GeoMarco plugin reads those projects from the user's Google Drive and displays them in QGIS. Survey data is never sent to GeoMarco servers.
Data we access
With your permission, the app and the plugin use your Google account with the "drive.file" scope, which only grants access to files and folders created by the GeoMarco app itself, not to the rest of your Google Drive. The app reads the files of the DiMap Pro projects you select (point database, field log and photos) solely to copy them. The Google account email address may be shown so you know which account is connected.
How we use it
We use this data only to sync your projects to your Google Drive and to display them in your QGIS. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, build profiles or share it with third parties. GeoMarco's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Where it is stored
Projects are stored in your Google Drive, under your control and subject to Google's terms. Only local technical data stays on the controller and the computer (sync status, error log and access credentials kept by Android or by the QGIS authentication manager).
Retention
Data in your Google Drive remains until you delete it. Local technical data is removed when you uninstall the app or the plugin. You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com, under Security, Third-party connections.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data and object to its processing by writing to geral@map3dpro.pt. You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).
